Exclusive: JAY Z gives surprise performance during star studded Pre-Inauguration After Party in Washington, DC

Jay Z gave fans bottles of  Armand de Brignac's "Ace of Spades" Blanc de Blanc Champagne which went for over $800 in the club.

(BlackPressMagazine) - On the most historical inaugural Sunday America has ever witnessed, thousands of people packed the nation’s capital in celebration for the culmination of Barack Obama’s heaven sent November win.

As the Belverdere continued to flow and night grew longer, so did the big names in attendance such as rappers Jay Z, Young Jeezy, Nelly, Akon, Bow Wow, NBA star Jason Kidd, music industry executive Kevin Liles, and many others; however there were none more recognizable then hip-hop’s royal couple, Jay-Z and Beyonce. With endless balls and events taking place throughout the city, fittingly the brightest stars gathered at Love to show their support for the beloved president elect.

Just as it appeared everyone in D.C had arrived shortly before T.I. performed a string of hits with enough energy to erase the memory of the frigid temperature party goers faced outside, the festivities were just getting started.

After Young Jeezy gave the extremely over populated crowd endless thug motivation, the Snowman delivered the pinnacle of the evening when he extended the stage to Mr. Carter.

Alongside Jeezy, and behind a star-studded backdrop, Jay-Z lent a few surprise verses to Young Jeezy’s appropriately titled track, “My President” to place the proper exclamation point on an unforgettable presidential weekend that will be talked about for years to come.

FACT CHECK: Did you know that Jay Z was born Shawn Carter is a high school drop out? He was originally from a housing project in the Bed-Stuy section of  Brooklyn, NY. When he was just 12 years old, Jay Z was abandoned by his father Adnes Reeves  and shot his brother in the shoulder for stealing his jewelry. Jay-Z attended Eli Whitney High School in Brooklyn, until it was closed down. After that, Jay Z attended George Westinghouse Information Technology High School in Brooklyn with fellow rappers Biggie Smalls and Busta Rhymes. Later he attended Trenton Central High School in New Jersey, but Jay Z never graduated from high school. He claims to have been caught up in selling drugs, to which he refers in his music.

Peavy's article definitely brought the spirit of DC to a clear picture. I'm sure anyone who was there and reads the article would agree. There was enough detail to see what happened but not too much to where you thought he was writing a journal entry. Looking forward to more entries from this talented writer.

Peavy has given us the "New Blackmale" observation, insight and portrayal that we should expect in this age. Another great literary effort.
